Manchester United fans are stunned by an audacious swoop from their city rivals for a young talent and are kicking off in the Transfer Tavern, with many already being barred.

The Mirror claim 16-year-old United prodigy Callum Gribbin was offered a sensational £11k-a-week to switch allegiances and join Manchester City’s youth set-up.

Gribbin, highly-rated at United and often compared to club legend Ryan Giggs, plays regularly with the U18 side at Old Trafford and has featured in first-team training with Louis Van Gaal’s squad.

Luckily for United, Giggs played a pivotal role in the teenager penning a four-year deal earlier this year and rejecting the controversial swoop from the Citizens; which would have sent shockwaves throughout England.

United fans at the bar are screaming for FA intervention and claim offering a young player £11k-a-week should be against the rules, as it’s entirely unfair towards the clubs that have spent years nurturing these teenage stars.

To be fair, the Manchester City fans in the Tavern don’t disagree entirely.

United fans, should these be against FA regulations? Have City acted unfairly? Let us know in the comments below!
