It’s the news that fans have been waiting for for a very long time, and whilst major transfers are likely to create bigger headlines over the coming weeks and months – our landlord thinks that if the Red Devils can get this over the line, it will be Man Utd’s best move all summer long.
After all, there’s no doubting just how good De Gea is. He’s arguably the best goalkeeper in the world, and that shows every single time he plays. He has brilliant shot-stopping and agility, whilst he’s also very strong in the air. In truth, he doesn’t really have a downside, with his distribution also top notch.
In truth, much of what Man Utd do goes through him, and that’s a testament to his quality.
You only have to look at how many times he kept the Red Devils in games last season to know that he is invaluable. They just cannot afford to lose him.
In that sense, then, not only is the mere fact that this deal will keep him at the club for longer good news, but it also means that any potentially interested parties will be warned off of him.
