There have been some incredible players at Man Utd over the years, but few can hold a candle to Wayne Rooney. The former Everton man went on to be a legend at Old Trafford after joining the Red Devils whilst still a teenager.
He was crucial throughout Man Utd’s multiple pursuits of domestic and continental trophies, and by the time he left for Everton, he undoubtedly earnt his legacy as one of the best to ever play for the club.
Since his departure, he’s played for two clubs – Everton and D.C United – and he now finds himself representing the latter over in the MLS.

Unsurprisingly, many Man Utd fans have been full of praise for Rooney online, and it’s fair to say that most wouldn’t hate it if he was still at the club.
