Man Utd fans have singled out Luke Shaw for serious praise

It’s been a long old road for Luke Shaw at Man Utd. Despite having the world at his feet as a teenager, and earning a massive move to Man Utd, the last few years have been poor for the Englishman.

A serious leg injury made the early stage of his time in man Utd tough, whilst the arrival of Jose Mourinho presented a fresh set of challenges. The Portuguese didn’t seem to rate him, and he received minimal game time as a result.

Over the last couple of years, he’s rarely been a feature for Man Utd on a regular basis, but that has finally changed this season. With a full pre-season under his belt and renewed faith in him from his manager, Shaw has taken his game to another level.

He’s been a regular in the Man Utd first team so far this term, putting in tremendous performances along the way. Offering excellent offensive quality whilst maintaining defensive solidity, the 23-year-old has been exemplary.

Man Utd fans have clearly recognised that, too, owing to what they’ve had to say online about the defender. Man Utd confirmed on their official Twitter that the Englishman had been named their Player of the Month for August after his excellent start to the season, and fans were quick to respond.
