Our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for a bright future under Jose Mourinho in the seasons to come.

The Red Devils suffered a bit of a false start under the Portuguese boss earlier this season but things are properly up and running now as they look to qualify for the Champions League.

Finish in those spots for next season and we can expect plenty of exciting signings at the club over the summer but surely isn’t it time to have a serious look at what’s coming through at Carrington?

United are famed for bringing through superb young stars with Marcus Rashford the latest product and it certainly seems like there’s plenty more where that came from at the club at the moment.

So, with that in mind, here are two emerging wonderkids United fans need to start getting excited about – as per our landlord…

 Andreas Pereira

Pereira is, arguably, the biggest talent the club’s support need to start getting more excited about.

The attacking midfielder can go down either the left or the right wing as well and he has hugely impressed in La Liga this season. He’s currently on loan at Granada and whilst the Spanish club have been up against it all year Pereira has still shone leaving many to wonder just what he could do surrounded by class at United.

 Tahith Chong

You get the feeling with Chong that it really is only a matter of time before he is afforded a first-team start at United.

He may not play week in week out but he’s got the physical frame, the talent and the confidence to more than hold his own at the very highest of levels. The Dutchman can play through the middle as a striker or as a left-winger and has worked his way up the age levels for his country rapidly – watch this space.
