Though perhaps not the biggest priority for Man Utd this season, the Carabao Cup returns this evening, with Man Utd set to take on Derby County. The biggest story of the day is the master against the apprentice tale that is being told between Jose Mourinho and Frank Lampard, but there are even more talking points on the field for the Red Devils.
Given that the competition is likely to take a backseat in comparison to the Premier League, it’s likely that a few fringe players will get a chance this evening, and one man that fans want to see play is Diogo Dalot.
Dalot has only made 1 appearance for Man Utd his season, in the Champions League, but unsurprisingly his performance against Young Boys has got fans very excited indeed. He impressed with his defensive and offensive work, and now he looks ready to step into a game against a team of Derby County’s quality.
