Man Utd have big plans as Jose Mourinho is handed sizeable January boost

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern enjoyed watching their side over the weekend. The Red Devils were able to bag a significant 3-1 win over Arsenal, cementing their place near to the top of the Premier League table. In truth, everything is going right for Man Utd at present, and it appears as though things could get even better.

According to the Sun, Mourinho could be handed a massive £80 million war chest in January as he looks to continue to improve his side following a strong start to the season. A couple of new attacking faces, alongside a new left-back, are said to be on the menu for Mourinho, whilst Matteo Darmian and Luke Shaw could make way.

Indeed, it appears as though there are big plans for the Man Utd, with Mourinho clearly sensing an opportunity for growth at Old Trafford.

It’s no real surprise, of course, given that they’ve made a decent start to the campaign. Though they’re behind Man City by some margin, it’s been a campaign of real progress for the Red Devils after several seasons in the cold.

A few new faces, at least according to our landlord, could be just what they need to take it to the next level.

Landlord’s Verdict

Man Utd’s squad is fantastic, but a few new faces could be just what they need.

It wouldn’t be a surprise for Man Utd to spend big, of course, given their recent spending history, but a few major sales may well be required. Luke Shaw, as noted by the Sun, is certainly a candidate for that, given his lack of game time this season.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see them spend big, either way.
