The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping to see a few changes at Old Trafford this summer…
The Red Devils have enjoyed somewhat of a renaissance this season, and whilst Mourinho struggled to turn his side around earlier in the campaign – Man Utd’s form since the turn of the year has been fantastic.
Indeed, a Premier League title challenge might be difficult at this point, especially given how well Chelsea are performing, but it seems as though the future is looking very bright at Old Trafford.
However, Mourinho’s plans for the future have seemingly taken a hit, with ESPN reporting that young striker Daishawn Redan, who Man Utd have been keen on, is edging closer to a move to RB Leipzig.
The publication are noting that whilst any deal is far from done, the German side are now the favourites for the deal – with Man Utd slipping down the pecking order.
This is certainly a blow to the long-term plans of Man Utd, with Redan clearly a talented player.
That being said, Mourinho has never been renowned for his utilisation of young players – and so it may well be the best for Redan’s career. Often at clubs that demand success, Mourinho has rarely had a chance to utilise his young players, though that tide appears to be changing with the likes of Rashford making waves for the Red Devils.
