The Man Utd fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have mixed feelings on this news…
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has enjoyed a mixed spell in the Premier League thus far – but it would appear as though Jose Mourinho has seen enough.
As confirmed on Man Utd’s official Twitter page, Jose Mourinho has stated that the Red Devils will take up their option to extend Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s Man Utd deal for a further season.

A month or 2 ago, this would have seemed like an obvious decision, but now – not so much.
Ibrahimovic started the season on fire, but in recent weeks his form has really slowed down. He struggled throughout October, and whilst he has shown signs of improvement in recent weeks – he has been a far cry from the player that he was at PSG.
Nonetheless, our landlord still thinks he has all the talent – and so for him, a new deal was inevitable.
Ibrahimovic still boasts an impressive record, having scored 6 goals in just 11 Premier League games so far this season. He is currently sitting 8th in the Golden Boot rankings in the Premier League – which is a decent record for a newcomer.
The Man Utd fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are still expecting more, though.
