According to the Sun, Man Utd are ready to make a move for Barcelona starlet Carles Alena – with Mourinho seemingly looking to build for the future.
The 18-year-old is a central midfielder in the ilk of Cesc Fabregas, and is able to both dribble with the ball and distribute it effectively.
The Sun are reporting that his buy-out clause is currently set at £34 million.

Our landlord thinks that Mourinho should probably be spending more time focusing on the present, though, and whilst Alena looks decent – Man Utd’s current league position does not.
