The Algerian has been injured over the last few weeks following a hamstring injury, with many of the Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern fearing that his departure from the first team could cost the Red Devils dearly.
In his absence, of course, they have actually faired fairly well – picking up a win in the EFL Cup final against Southampton.
However, ahead of Thursday evening’s clash with FC Rostov, Man Utd have received a big injury boost – with the Liverpool Echo reporting that Mkhitaryan has been named in the squad to face the Russian outfit.
This news has delighted the Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern, with Mkhitaryan the sort of player that can come in and make an immediate impact in the Europa League.
It has been good news all round for the Man Utd faithful this week, with reports also suggesting that star midfielder Ander Herrera is set to have his one-year extension in his contract enacted, keeping the Spaniard at Old Trafford for a further year.
