It appears as though his future could come to a heads this summer, with El Confidencial reporting that decision time is coming for the Spanish international.
According to El Confidencial, David De Gea is expected to make a decision on his future in May of this year, with Real Madrid set to go all out to sign him should they get a positive signal.
Indeed, this is a story that hasn’t gone away over the last few years, though it finally appears as though it is now or never for De Gea to decide his future.
The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperately hoping that he decides to stay with the club this summer, as after a few years of fine performances, there is arguably nobody better. Touted in the Transfer Tavern as the Premier League’s best shot stopper, Man Utd would certainly find it very hard to replace him this summer.
He has made 26 starts in the Premier League this season, and Man Utd’s fine defensive form is due in large part to his excellent displays.
