Man Utd sweating on long-term fitness of key star

He has become quite the fan favourite amongst the Man Utd fans in the Football Transfer Tavern…

Marcus Rashford’s meteoric rise in recent weeks has been quite incredible – and his young age makes it all the more impressive.

At just 18-years-old, Rashford is already a key part of the Man Utd first team set up – and he looks set to continue in that vein for the rest of the season, despite his tender years.

However, his emergence at such a young age is, according to the Sun – causing Man Utd problems.

The Sun are suggesting that Man Utd are concerned that Rashford is being overexposed in the Premier League – and his frequent game time is causing ‘growing pains and cramps’, with the Red Devils reportedly particularly concerned that he could burnout before the end of the season.

This is a bit worrying for the Man Utd fans in the Football Transfer Tavern given that Rashford is quickly becoming one of the Red Devils’ most important players. He is currently being played out of position, but he continues to perform each and every week.

Our landlord is slightly less worried, though. He thinks that Rashford is just young and developing – and the United faithful must be patient with him.

Either way, the prospect of reduced game time for the man that has already scored 3 Premier League goals this season is certainly a worrying prospect – especially considering Man Utd’s poor form as of late.

Defeat at Chelsea was followed up by a draw at Burnley this weekend – and Man Utd’s poor form has left their fans in the Tavern concerned for the future of Jose Mourinho.
