Metro certainly have Manchester City fans rolling their eyes here in the Football Transfer Tavern after claiming that the Citizens could well be waving goodbye to one of their forwards in the summer.
The player who is edging closer to the exit door appears to be Stevan Jovetic who has been left out of Manuel Pellegrini’s Champions League squad for the knockout stages.
The Montenegrin has been replaced in the squad by January recruit Wilfried Bony instead and that has obviously not only seriously disappointed Jovetic but also raised a few eyebrows as well.
As one of our punters notes, you can only have so many forwards and whilst in an ideal world it would be great to be able to keep four world class strikers happy, in reality there is always going to be that player questioning his worth to the team.
Jovetic has endured a stop-start kind of career in England and many of our tavern regulars wouldn’t be too sad to see him exit the Premier League come the summer.
Manchester City fans. How would you rate Jovetic’s Ciy career out of 10 so far? Would you mind if he made an exit this summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
