The Manchester City striker signed for the club on the 28th July 2011, and since arriving on English shores from Atletico Madrid, the Argentine international has been one of the deadliest attackers in the Premier League, becoming the club’s all-time record goalscorer with a tally of 231 goals in 338 games in all competitions (per Transfermarkt).
City’s rise to dominance in world football can partly be attributed to the arrival of Aguero, who etched his name into English sporting history with his incredible stoppage-time winner in the final game of the 2011/12 Premier League season to win the Manchester club their first league title in over half a century. Indeed, to celebrate the anniversary of his signing, supporters took to social media to thank the attacker for his services.
