Manchester City: Fans fume at latest links with Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele

According to a report by El Desmarque, Barcelona have decided to sell winger Ousmane Dembele and Manchester City could be one of a number of clubs reportedly interested in acquiring the Frenchman’s services – but Sky Blues supporters aren’t impressed to say the least.

Dembele, who has played just five games this campaign, scoring one goal, has suffered from a plethora of injury issues since his arrival at the Nou Camp back in 2017 for a mouth-watering £135.5. million – so far struggling to re-establish his Barcelona career.

In comparison, before he signed for the Catalans, Dembele racked up 10 goals and 22 assists during his time at Borussia Dortmund – perhaps enticing clubs into a deal for the youngster who could still possess some unfulfilled potential.

Still, given the abundance of wingers at City’s disposal – with Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva all playing well so far this campaign, supporters don’t see the point in signing an injury-prone addition.

Last season, when Dembele played regularly, he amassed eight goals and five assists in La Liga – paling in comparison to the Sky Blues’ wingers who all, bar Mahrez, racked up superior numbers.
