According to an update by Sky Sports transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, via Man City Xtra, star playmaker Kevin De Bruyne is about to agree to a contract extension and is ‘extremely happy’ with Pep Guardiola staying – with an agreement expected in the coming months as Sky Blues go wild over this ‘brilliant news‘.
De Bruyne, who has been a pivotal figure for Guardiola since the Spaniard took over at Eastlands, arguably shined brightest last season – with the 29-year-old clinching a PFA Player of the Year award and becoming the first City player in history to do so.

Starting just seven Premier League matches so far, the Belgian has already managed seven assists in that time – perhaps highlighting just how crucial he is to the way this City team like to play.
