Although Manchester City were able to reclaim the Premier League title last season, they had to do so without Kevin de Bruyne for much of the campaign.
What happened last year happens to everybody. I have been a professional for 11 years now and had one season where I had some injuries.
I just get on with it. Now I feel good. I’m happy I could play a whole preseason.

The Belgian international missed the majority of last season due to a knee injury, forcing the former Chelsea midfielder to start just 11 Premier League games (per Transfermarkt). Still, it is looking likely that De Bruyne will be back to full fitness in time for the 2019/20 season, with a quote from the playmaker tweeted from Manchester City’s official Twitter account seemingly indicating that the 28-year-old is raring to go.
Of course, the tweet caused much excitement amongst City fans on Twitter, who will surely be eager to see the Belgian star return to full fitness and make his comeback to the first-team. Indeed, the replies to the quote indicated how much supporters wanted to see De Bruyne back in the squad,
Here is what some fans had to say about De Bruyne’s quote…
