According to a report earlier this week from El Desmarque, Manchester City have reportedly been instructed by Pep Guardiola to prepare a fresh €50m (£42.1m) bid for Real Madrid midfielder Isco – with supporters reacting frustratingly to the news that they are once again linked with the Spaniard.
City and Isco, at least in the world of transfer rumours, go hand-in-hand – with countless whispers over the years indicating that the midfielder could be on the verge of a move to the Etihad, which always seems to fall through.
Now, with the saga having resurfaced, a lot of Sky Blues supporters wish they would just stop now that they already have a successor for David Silva in mind.
Phil Foden has been tipped by large sections of the fanbase to take Silva’s mantle once he departs at the end of the season, and the last thing they want is to spend over £40m to secure the Real Madrid man.
Here’s what they had to say on Twitter:
poor Foden. never getting opportunities lol
