Manchester City fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking up with interest at the latest claim from the Daily Star who seem to think that the club are tracking a 17-year-old sensation.
Birmingham City’s Reece Brown has been watched by Patrick Vieira and is one of the targets City are looking to secure ahead of their long-term project to buy the best young talent around.
City are of course looking to keep in line with Financial Fair Play regulations while also making sure they keep on top of the pile, both at home and in Europe.
Brown may only be 17 but City and a host of other clubs seem to think he has the potential to go on and be a star at the top level and will be keeping a close eye on him in the future.
As one of our punters notes over his pint and some bar snacks, City are not exactly known for developing young stars and it may not be the wisest of moves for the starlet to join the other superstars at the Etihad Stadium. Just ask Jack Rodwell!
City meanwhile have a huge game against Chelsea to contend with and should they manage to get three points from Jose Mourinho and his men, we are pretty sure the title will be going to the blue half of Manchester come the end of May.
Will Manchester City be able to lure young Brown to the Etihad Stadium in the summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
