They may be unsure about the future of their new manager given the impending departure of Jose Mourinho but Real Madrid fans have something to smile about here in the Football Transfer Tavern according to Inside Futbol with the blue half of Manchester set for massive transfer dissapointment.
It has been claimed that Real Madrid are keen on netting £35 million rated Isco and the player is also batting his eyelids at the Spanish giants. Manchester City manager elect Manuel Pellegrini of course will not take too kindly to this news as he thought the Citizens were at the front of the race to land the player who has been making waves in La Liga this season with Malaga. Isco even penned a deal in January that saw his wages and buy out clause rise – but interestingly not the amount of time left on his current deal.
The tricky player has been nothing but a success at Malaga, so much so that it was claimed to Radio Marca by Francisco Aguilar that: “If he will leave for a big club, the finances of Malaga stand to benefit.
“Real Madrid have much interest in signing Isco but still there is nothing official.”
The finances at Malaga have of course been much scrutinised this season and has even bought them into deep trouble with UEFA and now it seems that the club are willing to cash in on their 21-year-old Spanish international star.
Will City lose out to Real Madrid in the race to land Isco? Let us know your thoughts below.
