Manchester City continued their impressive form so far this year with a late and scored late to take a vital three points against Southampton during midweek.
City have, so far, been absolutely superb in their form, and manager Pep Guardiola looks to have got his team playing some absolutely superb stuff and well on their way to winning the Premier League title once again.
Our landlord here at the Tavern has also been suitably impressed with Guardiola and co, but despite the good start and squad full of world class talent he still reckons there are players out there who could come in and improve the City squad even further.
One such player he thinks fits this mould is current Bayern forward Robert Lewandowski, who worked under Guardiola during his time in Munich.
The Polish striker is an excllent forward of world class ability, and despite City possessing both Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus, the thought of adding someone with the presence and size of Lewandowski would give the Manchester club an added dimension they currently lack.
The former Dortmund star simply bleeds goals, and given the chance, would surely rip it up in the Premier League and prove to be a superb addition to the English game. He will not come cheap, but City have money to burn if needed, and the Pole could be the perfect signing for Guardiola next year.
City fans, would you take Lewandowski? Let us know in the comments!
