Manchester City have been celebrating their success over the last week as manager Pep Guardiola has guided his team to the Premier League title with considerable ease in his second season in charge.
The Citizens have been simply superb, and improving the squad in any way shape or form over the summer could prove quite the difficult task for Pep.
However, our landlord here in the Tavern thinks that the club could do with strengthening in the forward areas, with the future of Sergio Aguero still up for debate and Gabriel Jesus still only a young player who has already had injury setbacks.
Signing strikers is always something many clubs place at the top of their priority lists, and City are no different. Guardiola will know that to continue success, then fresh faces may be needed, and adding another central striking option might make the big difference come crunch time next year.
With that in mind, we’ve identified TWO strikers Manchester City could look to sign this summer…
Mauro Icardi

The Inter Milan hotshot has been in superb form once again this season and remains well on target to hit the 30 goal mark for his club.
Icardi, who has a bit of attitude about him but can back it up with goals and performances, is a wanted man across Europe in general, but he might be hard pushed to reject City’s advances.
A classy forward who plays with tenacity and can finish with the best of them, Icardi would be a superb addition at the Etihad.
Kylian Mbappe

The young French striker made a massive move last summer when he signed for PSG after impressing for Monaco, in a deal worth well in excess of £100m.
However, things do not appear to be all rosy for the youngster, and despite an impressive season with the Paris giants, his form has taken a dip at times.
A move to City and the chance to develop and win trophies under Guardiola might well suit Mbappe, who is a player with bags of potential that could see him reach the very top if he is nurtured correctly.
