Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has delighted the resident Citizens here in the Transfer Tavern, with his authority being firmly stamped on the squad at present.
The usual beer guzzling City contingent have been bitterly disappointed in recent years after failing to set the Premier League alight under previous boss Manuel Pellegrini.
Things are looking up at the Eithad Stadium with their latest triumph coming against Guardiola’s former side Barcelona in the Champions League, with City running out 3-1 winners against the Spanish giants.
A club the size of Manchester City are unlikely to rest on their laurels however and talk in the Tavern has already turned towards the January transfer window.
One chap is over by the Tavern’s cocktail bar supping one of the landlord’s legendary Sex on the Beach cocktails and he thinks the club should be scouring Italy for their next big signing.
The Transfer Tavern’s Lee Clarke looked at two Italians that Pep should look towards signing during the next transfer window.
Leonardo Bonucci

The Juventus central defender would be a solid partner for youngster John Stones and his influence and calmness would aid the England player no end.
It is unlikely that City will truly conquer European football until they iron out their defensive mishaps and the 29-year-old centre-half would be a real coup for the Citizens.
If Guardiola can use his stature to secure the Italian defender it would lead to a heavy night of partying for the Tavern’s resident City supporters.
Nicola Sansone

The striker only switched to Villarreal during the summer but his four goals in seven appearances have already made European football stand up and take notice.
City possess one of the world’s best strikers in Sergio Aguero but Guardiola may look to bolster his attacking arsenal further still during the January transfer window.
Sansone is only 25-years-old and he would be an investment for the future should City try and secure his services in the near future.
Manchester City fans, would you welcome these two Italians at the club? Which other players should the club look to sign? Let us know in the comments below!!!
