According to a report by Bild journalist Christian Falk, via Sports Illustrated, Man City would like to sign Erling Haaland next summer as a direct successor to club legend, and all-time top goalscorer, Sergio Aguero – prompting many Sky Blues fans to buzz as the ‘great news’ emerges.
Haaland, who has enjoyed a meteoric rise to stardom ever since his stellar first campaign for Red Bull Salzburg, which prompted Borussia Dortmund to snap him up in January, is now attracting Txiki Begiristain’s interest as Aguero reaches the twilight phase of his career.

The Citizens have to start planning for life without Aguero, a fact which has been made more evident in the last few months by his knee problems, with the club now apparently identifying Haaland as his heir upfront.
