Manchester United and Arsenal fans are just not a happy bunch at the minute and after hearing what BBC Sport have to say the shots are out here in the Football Transfer Tavern.
The publication seem to think that both United and Arsenal have missed out on Winston Reid, who has decided to stay at West Ham United and has penned a new six-and-a-half year deal with the East London club.
Our landlord expresses his shock at this and honestly we have to agree with him given Reid had made it known he fancied trying Champions League football – and the closest he will get to that during his stay with the Hammers will be on FIFA!
We think that means it is back to the drawing board for Arsene Wenger and Louis van Gaal, both of whom know their sides are in dire need of a commanding man at the back to marshall their defence, and get them closer to the top of the league come next season.
