Manchester United are currently doing well in the Premier League and despite sitting behind pace setters Man City, the Red Devils can be pleased with the progress this season.
Under Jose Mourinho, there’s been an element of progress at Old Trafford, and a massive improvement from the days under David Moyes and then Louis Van Gaal.
The summer saw United make big splashes in the transfer market, and the additions of Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic in particular, have made made Mourinho’s men a force to be reckoned with in both Europe and in the Premier League.
With January just around the corner, United could well be looking to add some more new faces to their squad, and one man our landlord here at the Tavern would like to see in England is current Inter Milan star Mauro Icardi.
The tricky attacker has found himself becoming one of the key men in Serie A over the last few seasons, and his form and goals have drawn the admiring glances of some of the world’s biggest clubs, and United sit right in that bracket.
While United do already possess a host of attacking talent, the addition of a world class talent like Icardi could take them to the next level, and gives them a serious chance of winning the Champions League once again, something Mourinho is bound to want to achieve before he leaves Old Trafford.
