Manchester United fans are smiling here in the Football Transfer Tavern with Metro claiming that PSV Eindhoven are finally ready to sell Memphis Depay.
The attacking star was someone the Red Devils were keen on this winter but missed out after the Dutch side refused to sell the winger – however as one of our punters notes, that seems to have changed after PSV director Toon Gerbrands claimed: ‘He has the option to leave after this season.’
Louis van Gaal is a huge fan of the player and knows him well from the Dutch international setup, and our landlord thinks that he would be more than willing to put his hand in his pocket and get the £15 million that Depay would cost.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with the player but we think that when it comes down to a choice between the two clubs, there is only one destination for Depay and it will be to link up with Van Gaal.
