Manchester United fans have found themselves agreeing with Jamie Carragher after he had his say on what needs to be done to improve the Red Devils’ fortunes on the pitch.
Carragher, who is now a pundit for Sky Sports, has issued a warning to the Old Trafford board that if they fail to speak to the former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, then they would “not be doing their job properly”.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester United have come under immense scrutiny after a poor start to the new Premier League campaign, picking up just four wins from 13 matches while conceding 15 goals in the process.
The Norwegian manager has spent a significant amount of money during the summer months and since taking the reins, spending £78.3m on Harry Maguire and £49.5m on Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Carragher spoke about the situation on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football (via Metro) and highlighted the amount of money that the club has spent as a collective since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013, describing it as “astronomical”.
He added that the club must approach Pochettino and has no doubt that the Argentinian was originally the club’s first choice.
