Manchester United: Fans believe Kyle Walker should have been sent off during Manchester City win

Manchester United fans insisted that Manchester City defender Kyle Walker should have been sent off during their side’s 2-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

The Red Devils got their first win over their hated neighbours in two years as goals from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Rashford ensured that the red side of Manchester inherited the city’s bragging rights.

Nicholas Otamendi scored a late goal to set up a thrilling finale but it wasn’t enough for the Citizens to get anything from the game.

There was an incident in the game that the Old Trafford faithful believed that one player got away with.

Kyle Walker was not booked until the fourth minute of added time but was lucky not to be booked for earlier challenges made on the likes of Daniel James and Marcus Rashford as United played defensive counter-attack in the second half.

Supporters were adamant that the Citizens’ man should have been dismissed and made their feelings clear on social media.

Here you will find some of the best comments from Manchester United fans:

Journalism graduate from the University of Chester. Joined Transfer Tavern in October 2020. Liverpool fan based in the north-west who will not hear a bad word said about Lucas Leiva. Gained experience with Manchester Futsal Club and 90MIN. Strongly disapproves of short corners and foul throws.
