Manchester United fans are bemoaning the injury suffered by Mason Greenwood after he pulled out of the England under-21 squad.
The 18-year-old pulled out of the squad for the upcoming internationals against Austria and Slovenia due to a back injury (via Man Utd).
Greenwood has enjoyed a fantastic start to life in the United first team, scoring in two of his three starts for the club against Rochdale and Astana (via Transfermarkt).
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has laid praise on the young attacker as he said Greenwood was ‘already a nightmare for defenders (via Manchester Evening News).
Greenwood’s rise to the first-team has come after the sale of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku, both of whom joined Internazionale in the summer (via BBC).
The news of the striker’s injury was met with frustration from United fans as they took to Twitter to react.
