Manchester United fans congratulated Ethan Galbraith after the youngster made his international debut for Northern Ireland.
Galbraith came on as a second-half substitute in what was an experimental XI from Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill.
The 18-year-old has been a success since joining the Old Trafford side’s academy in 2017. He helped the club’s Under-18s win the Premier League North title and even scored a goal against Manchester City which effectively secured top spot and won the goal of the month award for April (via Manchester United).
Galbraith has made 39 appearances for Manchester United’s under-18 and under-23 sides since joining the club, scoring five goals and assisting a further five (via Transfermarkt).
O’Neill praised the youngster and said he will be playing in the Under-19 European Championship finals next year (via Belfast Telegraph).
Fans took to Twitter as they congratulated the youngster on earning his first cap for his country against Luxembourg.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Old Trafford faithful:

Fantastic achievement. I remember Jonny Evans making his Northern Ireland debut before playing for Man Utd too. I’m sure Kieran McKenna is keeping a close eye on his development!
