Manchester United: Fans demand this 22-year-old is sold by club

Manchester United fans are demanding that Cameron Borthwick-Jackson is sold by the club.

The youngster was loaned out to League One side Tranmere Rovers for the remainder of the 2019/2020 season.

The youngster has suffered a spectacular fall from the top, after featuring in the 2015/2016 season. Under Louis Van Gaal in the 2015/2016 season, Borthwick-Jackson played more than 10 games for the first-team at the age of 18 (via Transfermarkt).

Since that season, the 22-year-old has been on loan at three different clubs, turning out for Leeds United, Scunthorpe United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The departure of the left-back means that the Red Devils have seen as many as nine players leave the club, making £62.55m in sales.

Fans seemed baffled at why the Manchester-born youngster was afforded yet another loan move and was not just moved on permanently.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Old Trafford faithful after Borthwick-Jackson’s departure from the club on loan:
