Manchester United fans joked that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should be playing for the club after he was filmed during the club’s training session.
The clip showed the Norwegian manager successfully kicking the ball into a red bin from quite a distance away.
The former Manchester United player has been in charge of the Red Devils since taking over in temporary charge, back in December 2018 after Jose Mourinho was sacked (via BBC).
Solskjaer’s temporary spell in charge was eventually turned into a permanent role when he signed a three-year contract in March this year.
The tweets for Solskjaer to start come amid a shortage of attackers in the current squad. Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are the only senior attackers, after Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez were shipped off to Internazionale (via Transfermarkt).
Fans took to Twitter as they called for the former Norway international to be included in the side.
