Manchester United fans have been lauding Aaron Wan-Bissaka after a statistic about the defender emerged.
The club’s official Twitter account revealed that the right-back has made more successful tackles than any other player in the Premier League (via Man Utd).
Wan-Bissaka has been built up a reputation for his brilliant slide tackling ability and was even nicknamed ‘the spider’ by his United teammates shortly after making the move to the north-west.
Following 46 appearances for Crystal Palace, the England international made the move to the Old Trafford giants, who coughed up £50m for his services in the summer.
He has proven a success so far this campaign, having averaged the most tackles, the second-most interceptions and the third-most clearances within Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad (via WhoScored).
Fans are lavishing the 21-year-old with praise after the emergence of the statistic as they took to Twitter to react.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Old Trafford faithful:
Wan-Bissaka is a beast. Absolute bargain and a monster at the back. So happy with him.
