During the Newcastle game, as you all know I picked up an Injury, I am now recovering, and already looking forward to joining back up with the team as soon as possible to help the boys get back to where we belong! #MUFC pic.twitter.com/ReR8UiXBMJ

The 20-year-old was forced off through injury in his team’s 0-1 defeat at Newcastle earlier this month, as noted by Manchester Evening News, his 60-minute appearance that afternoon the only gametime he has had in the Premier League so far this season, as per TransferMarkt.
He missed United’s first five matches of the campaign with a hip injury for which he underwent rehabilitation in China, as per Manchester Evening News, making his comeback in the Europa League win over Astana five weeks ago.
The Portuguese youngster also missed several matches last season due to various injuries and started just 14 games in the Premier League and Champions League in 2018/19.
Dalot is not the only defender at the club to have encountered injury problems – both Phil Jones and Luke Shaw have had multiple spells out of action during their careers at Old Trafford, with the latter already missing seven matches this season due to a hamstring problem.
These Manchester United fans on Twitter had little sympathy for Dalot upon reading his tweet:
Always injured as usual. The next Phil Jones

When do you not pick up an injury? I’d be more shocked if you tweeted that you were fit.

Man Utd player’s Twitter career is more productive than their football career.

Why are you always injured? Yet @youngy18 hardly ever? At your age you should be as fit as ever. #manutd
