Manchester United fans are questioning the club after reports from The Athletic that they are ready to offer Mason Greenwood a new contract.
The report states that the Old Trafford giants are ready to offer the 17-year-old £25,000 per week, with increases dependent on the number of games he plays as well as appearance fee bonuses.
The Athletic is also reporting that they want to reward Greenwood for his emergence and promotion to the first-team.
Greenwood travelled with the club on their pre-season tour of Asia this summer and even scored in friendlies against Leeds United and Inter Milan.
The youngster has come off the bench in all four Premier League games so far this season and impressed against Southampton last Saturday (via Transfermarkt).
However, despite the emergence of the youth star, fans are baffled by the news of a pay rise for Greenwood.
