Manchester United: Fans react to January transfer update

Manchester United’s first full season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been full of ups and downs.

Victories over Tottenham, Manchester City and Chelsea have been overshadowed by losses to Watford, Bournemouth and Newcastle.

They’ve had rotten luck with injuries, particularly in midfield so far this season.

Paul Pogba has played just eight games this term, and missed their 2-0 win over Burnley despite returning to the squad over Christmas.

Indeed, more recently, Scott McTominay sustained knee ligament damage in the win over Newcastle and is expected to miss a number of weeks.

Despite their injury problems in midfield, and the failure to replace either of Marouane Fellaini or Ander Herrera last summer, the club could go through the January transfer window without adding to their squad, according to Manchester Evening News (via utdreport).

This latest update didn’t please many United fans, already unhappy with the board for their lack of effectiveness in the transfer market in recent years.
