Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba will miss the derby against Manchester City with an ankle injury, according to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and fans are furious at the revelation.
Pogba, 26, hasn’t played since September’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal, leaving him with a cast on his ankle that was removed last month.
The Frenchman has only made six appearances so far this season and is yet to score.
Despite his expected return to first-team action, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed in his pre-match press conference that he won’t yet be fit for the trip to the Etihad Stadium.
Controversy has followed Pogba since his return to Old Trafford in 2016, whether it be his apparent fallout with Jose Mourinho, or constant links away from the club.
The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid but has remained in Manchester.
His lack of availability has hurt United, who’ve won just five league games and also had to cope with injuries to the likes of Scott McTominay in midfield.
