The Red Devils midfielder has been absent for the club’s previous two matches against AZ Alkmaar and Newcastle after aggravating the ankle injury he sustained against Southampton in late-August.
The France international returned for the club’s clashes against Rochdale and Arsenal but has since been sidelined under medical advice from specialists.
“Following a specialist’s opinion, Paul Pogba requires a period of further rest and conservative treatment for the foot injury he sustained during the game against Southampton in August,” a club statement read (via MEN).
United were held in a goalless stalemate with Alkmaar in the Europa League and then lost 1-0 to Newcastle in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
And after that latest disappointment at St. James’ Park, fans of the club have grown tired of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with many now calling for the Norwegian to be sacked.
This morning, United’s official Twitter account uploaded the video of Pogba ramping up his recovery; here’s how fans reacted…
