Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are hoping their flop can revive his career after the Daily Star revealed that Radamel Falcao hopes to bring his scoring form with Columbia to Old Trafford.
After this international period, United may finally see glimpses as to why Falcao cost the club so much, just for a loan!
Falcao, scored twice in Columbia’s 6-0 win over Bahrain and scored another in Monday’s 3-1 win over Kuwait.
These three goals, in the space of two games, has put him one goal away from Columbia’s all time goal scoring record.
But punters are still not convinced, with Bahrain being ranked 104th in the FIFA world rankings and Kuwait placed lower down in 125th place.
But maybe just the feeling of hitting the back of the net may regain the 29-year-old’s confidence.
He now has eight games remaining and he hopes he can prove himself to Louis van Gaal as the season draws to a close.
“I think when I score it’s always important, and that gives me confidence,” Falcao said.
“I said before I need minutes, I need to play games in a row and here in the national team I have had the opportunity.
“I gave my best and I scored and I now return to Manchester with more confidence.
“We have the last eight games and I will give my best to have the chance to play as many minutes as possible.
“I have said before I need to play. I need minutes and I am confident about me, about my fitness. I am confident.”
But with the Red Devils in this purple patch of form it is unlikely that he is drastically going to change the team, just for Falcao.
