The Daily Express have managed to divide Manchester United fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they seem to think that an ex Red Devil has come to the defence of Radamel Falcao.
The forward has been woeful at times this season and does not look half the player he did during his time at Atletico Madrid – and as one of our punters notes, while United may have imagined they were getting the player who terrorised the Chelsea defence in the Super Cup, instead they have a £12 million flop.
That has not stopped the likes of Jorge Mendes coming to his defence and now ex Manchester United player Paul McGrath has even stepped in and seems to think that Falcao’s poor form is not down to the player at all – it is simply the poor service he has received.
McGrath claimed: ‘Radamel Falcao is not getting the sort of service he would at other clubs he’s played for.’
Now as our regulars note, we don’t even know where to begin with this but remembering the open goals Falcao has missed this season seems a good place to start.
