Manchester United fans here inside the Football Transfer Tavern are really not sure what to make of the news from ESPN, that says Manchester United have invited former Manchester City academy player Sam Grimshaw for a short-term trial.
Grimshaw, 21, currently plies his trade for non-league outfit Glossop North End, after seeing his time at Manchester City come to an end.
The left-back was part of the Manchester City academy for a total of nine years, but was subsequently released and ended up playing non-league football.
Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is set to offer the starlet a second chance at top-flight football by offering him a trial, something that Grimshaw will undoubtedly be happy with!
