Former Manchester United midfielder and captain Roy Keane has launched a scathing attack on Manchester City after they lost to Barcelona last night – causing great debate in the Transfer Tavern.
The Irish enforcer was speaking on the ITV Champions League highlights show last night when he made the claim that City’s approach to the game at the Nou Camp was brave, but stupid.
The Citizens ended up losing 4-0 to Barcelona last night as Lionel Messi scored his 37th hat-trick of his career much to the joy of the United fans who were in last night, and Keane’s comments after the match delighted them even more as the City fans began to seethe.
The now Republic of Ireland assistant manager also had heavy criticism for Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo who made a glaring error to give the ball away out of his box, before handling the resulting shot outside of his area to get sent off.

The result left City five points off of the Catalans who are top of their group ahead of the reverse fixture next time out.
