The shock in the Football Transfer Tavern has now subsided as David Moyes is set to replace Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United but he is now set to bring two Everton stars with him to Old Trafford in the shape of Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines according to the Daily Mirror.
Moyes was announced as the new United boss yesterday and the overall feeling seems to be positive as the Scottish disciplinarian has been used to getting the best out of his squads.
That squad could have a new look to it though as Moyes is set to lodge a £40 million combined bid for Toffees stars Fellaini and Baines.
Fellaini has a £23 million release clause in his Goodison Park contract and so Everton may not be able to block that deal but the Merseyside club will do their best to hold onto left back and England international Baines who has been superb again this season.
Moyes will look to make the United squad his own as he has a new found pressure to succeed.
