Aston Villa fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are getting frustrated as the Mirror reveal that Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley is set to turn down a permanent move to Aston Villa, to instead join Everton.
Villa Park is one of the few places that offered the 25-year-old an exit from Old Trafford after he was made a scapegoat whilst David Moyes was in charge at United.
But Cleverley is set to turn his back on the Villains for a move to Goodison Park as his contract at Manchester United is set to expire at the end of the season.
Although something which may have turned Cleverley’s head is the fact that Roberto Martinez is in charge at Everton.
Both Cleverley and Martinez have a good relationship after his loan spell at Wigan, where his form at the DW stadium led to him breaking into Manchester United’s line up.
Numerous Manchester United fans over by the bar in the Transfer Tavern are not too bother about the news, with the majority feeling he is simply not good enough for the Red Devils.
