Manchester United star Paul Pogba has been heavily criticised for conceding a penalty that gave West Ham the lead at Old Trafford.
Just days after news emerged that the Red Devils are ready to offer him a new deal, Pogba was found guilty for handling the ball by blocking it from hitting his face with his arm whilst he was standing inside the box.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Man United had to come from behind to draw with the Hammers at home, with Mason Greenwood levelling the score in the second half. Pogba’s actions means United now need a point from the final game of the season to qualify for the Champions League.
Neville scathingly launched an attack on the Frenchman, saying “it is rubbish from him, rubbish.”
Despite their best efforts, it seems as though they have not appeased the masses.
Naturally, many United fans slammed Pogba’s “embarrassing” howler against West Ham, with one supporter branding the attempt “pathetic,” and another adding he is so “selfish” for trying to protect himself. At this stage in the competition, he really should be putting his body on the line to try to help the Red Devils reach the Champions League.

I’m Pogba’s biggest defender but that’s inexcusable man lol. Has to let the ball smack him or get out the way

It was pathetic, would’ve rather he ducked. Travelled 10 yards before it hit him. Wasn’t even going in. Amazing people are defending this.
