According to The Manchester Evening News, Manchester United could see up to ten of their squad leave the club in the January transfer window.
It’s certainly come as a bit of a shock to our resident Red Devils fans here in the Transfer Tavern. Whilst they expected Jose Mourinho to make more changes when the window opens in just over a month’s time they certainly didn’t think that they could see the squad depleted by such a number.
Indeed, it would represent some massive changes within the playing squad as the Portuguese manager tries to get to grips with being in charge of one of the world’s biggest sides and make them perform again.
United have been underwhelming once more this season with them currently sixth in the Premier League table, eleven points off of Chelsea at the summit.
They drew at home once again at the weekend to West Ham and it really does seem as though the squad is going to be properly shaken up over the course of the January window.
The report believes the likes of Memphis Depay, Marcos Rojo and Ashley Young will all be the subject of interest but that could just be the tip of the iceberg.
