Manchester United fans are in hysterics here in the Football Transfer Tavern with the Mirror revealing that Angel Di Maria was ‘too ugly’ for Real Madrid.
Barcelona assistant Director of Football, Carles Rexach, has come out with this pretty extraordinary claim about Real Madrid and Angel Di Maria, saying: “Florentino Perez looks at the world market and wants a team of Galacticos for everyone to admire.
“Do you understand what I mean? Ronaldo is the flagship of the club. Perez is selling an international brand.
“Vicente del Bosque and Di Maria are too ugly for Real Madrid. They are different from Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez.”
The Argentine winger left the Bernabeu for £59.7 million in the summer, however he has found it hard to find the form he showcased at Real Madrid.
The Red Devils will be hoping he can find a good vein of form in the latter stages of the season, to help cement a top four finish in the Premier League.
United currently sit in fourth position in the Premier League, having accumulated 50 points from 27 league games thus far this season.
