Our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern don’t think that their start to this Premier League campaign could have gone much better and you can certainly understand why that’s the case.
The men from Old Trafford were expected to start strongly this season and that has duly happened with them scoring ten goals from their first three games and not conceding any – leading them to the top of the tree.
For sure, then, the signs are positive at the club at the moment and things are likely to get better as their new signings continue to bed in and settle.
One man who seems to have fitted in seamlessly, meanwhile, is Nemanja Matic with the midfielder letting the more creative players get forward and cause havoc whilst he marshals the defence.
And he’s suggested that the dressing room certainly made him welcome – aiding him in bedding in – as quoted by The Independent:
“And of course, the team helped me adapt quickly, they treated me very well from the very first day I entered the dressing room.”
Good stuff for United fans to hear, then, as it’s evident there is real harmony in the dressing room whilst the comments are also surely exciting for any potential signings to hear.
Landlord’s Verdict
Matic has fitted straight into the United team and his performances have allowed a greater sense of balance to be achieved at the club so far this season.
His words suggest there is real togetherness amongst the squad, too, and so potential new players and fans alike will be pleased to see everyone is seemingly singing off of the same song-sheet.
